Clarksville Parks and Recreation Wins Award for its Clarksville Sports Festival

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department received a Four Star Award at the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at this year’s state convention held in Nashville, Tennessee.

Founded in 1952, the TRPA is a professional society of more than 1,200 individual and agency members interested in the recreation and parks movement in Tennessee.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 2014 Sports Festival bigger than ever

Clarksville Sports FestivalClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation hosted the fourth-annual Clarksville Sports Festival on Saturday, August 16th, at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park.

Clarksville Sports Festival is a celebration of sports and athletics in Clarksville and the surrounding area and features not only sports demonstrations and interactive areas, but also an exposition area where a wide variety of Clarksville and Montgomery County’s athletic and outdoor clubs, businesses and organizations came together in one location.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Youth Basketball League registration is right around the corner

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Is your child interested in playing basketball this winter? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is proud to offer our Youth Basketball League once again this year.

The youth league is open to ages 7 to 17 and costs $55.00 per player. This fee covers the department’s costs for shirts, officials, trophies and equipment. Players will be placed on teams after registration. Registrants must bring their birth certificate for age verification. [Read more]

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The Coaches’ meetings for the Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s Youth League will be held next week from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Burt-Cobb Community Center located at 1011 Franklin Street.

Coaches for ages 3-4 and 5-6 will meet April 11th, coaches for ages 7-8 and 9-10 will meet April 12th and coaches for ages 11-12 and 13-14 will meet April 14th. [Read more]
