Old Glory DistillingClarksville, TN – Construction of the Old Glory Distillery has begun on Alfred Thun road and the President of Old Glory Distilling Co., Matt Cunningham shared designs, future products and his motivations to start the project in a presentation at the Hilton Garden Inn, Friday, February 6th.

Several people including Tennessee Senator Mark Green and the Executive Director of the Clarksville Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Theresa Harrington were in attendance and spoke along with Cunningham at the event.

Austin Peay State University graduate communication program named one of the nation’s best

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s graduate degree in communication arts is one of the top online programs in the nation, according to a recent survey by Affordable Colleges Online (ACO).

The national online resource released its Top Online Programs for 2015 rankings earlier this week, and the APSU master’s degree program, with concentrations in general communication and corporate communication, was ranked #30 in the country.

Acuff Circle now accepting nominates for Ovation Awards

Acuff Circle of ExcellenceClarksville, TN – The deadline is fast approaching for nominations for the coveted Acuff Circle of Excellence Ovation Awards in the arts.

The nominees must have made significant contributions to the artistic and cultural life of the Clarksville-Montgomery County community. Anyone can submit nominations. Nominations will be accepted through Tuesday, January 20th. The awards ceremony is March 1st at the Customs House Museum.

Company is adding more than 150 new jobs to support current and future customer programs

Shiloh IndustriesValley City, OH – Shiloh Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHLO), a leading supplier of lightweighting, noise and vibration solutions, today announced the opening of its Montgomery County, Tennessee, aluminum die casting plant.

The brownfield site was acquired by Shiloh in August of 2013. Shiloh has initiated renovations, upgrades and the addition of new equipment to the facility and estimates it will invest over $20 million along with adding more than 150 new jobs to support future production needs and customer demands. Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University College of Business M.S. in management program is #32 in the country, according to The Financial Engineer’s 2015 Master of Management Rankings. APSU’s program was ranked among the top 63 graduate management programs in the United States.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Wins Award for its Clarksville Sports Festival

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department received a Four Star Award at the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at this year’s state convention held in Nashville, Tennessee.
