Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Theatre and Dance has had an incredible month with guest artists.
Thanks to the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, the Office of Advancement and the Tennessee Theatre Association, from October 11th-November 6th, 2018 the department welcomed a nationally recognized choreographer, a Tony Award-winner, the Phantom of the Opera and much more.
Austin Peay Service-Learning Class helps student join Tennessee Theatre Association’s Board of Directors

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University student Emily Horton was recently appointed to the Tennessee Theatre Association’s (TTA) Board of Directors as a student representative.
Horton worked with the TTA last semester as part of an APSU service-learning course.

Clarksville, TN – A jaded Hank Williams Jr. fan, a man basking in the glow of the morning after, a Middle Eastern immigrant seeking a room to rent, a middle-aged man with a fear of spiders and dentists — these are just a handful of the various characters who will take the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s theotherspace this month.
For three nights only, beginning March 19th, four original one-acts by area playwright Darren V. Michael will be treated to a readers theatre production in “Brief Encounters: A Night of Short Plays”.

Clarksville, TN – Faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently announced a number of publications, conferences and credentials as part of their professional and scholarly activities.
Dr. Larry Hoehn, professor emeritus in mathematics, learned recently that two manuscripts he co-authored were accepted for publication. “A 5-Circle Incidence Theorem” was accepted for the Mathematics Magazine published by the Mathematical Association of America. “Zwei Kreistheoreme für affin–metrische Ebenen” was accepted for publication in German in the Mitteilungen der Mathematischen Gesellschaft publication. Clarksville, TN – Faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently announced publications or conferences attended as part of their professional and scholarly activities.
Beth Liggett, University photographer, had her photograph “Road Trip” accepted into the professional experimental and alternative processes category of the 2013 Downtown Artist’s Co-op Regional Photography Exposition. The exposition will open with a reception at 5:00pm, January 3rd and will remain open for viewing through February 1st at the Clarksville Downtown Artist’s Co-op, 96 Franklin Street.
