APSU’s Brian Vernon awarded 2015 Margaret Martin Award by the Tennessee Association of Dance

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University associate professor and chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance Brian Vernon has been awarded the 2015 Margaret Martin Award by the Tennessee Association of Dance (TAD).
The Margaret Martin Award recognizes individuals or corporations who make long term, consistently outstanding contributions that further the public image and accessibility of dance in Tennessee. Austin Peay State University Dance Program expands Reputation

Clarksville, TN – In 2005, Austin Peay State University developed a dance minor program with one faculty member and a handful of students. Seven years later, the program has three full-time faculty members and several graduates enrolled in Master of Fine Arts programs around the country.
The name “Austin Peay” is also becoming more familiar in collegiate dance circles, with the school having choreographed pieces selected two years in a row to be performed at the American College Dance Festival gala performance.

Austin Peay State University faculty, staff named for various accomplishments

Clarksville, TN – Several faculty and staff members as well as some students at Austin Peay State University announce their recent professional and scholarly activities.
Dr. Tristan Denley, provost and vice president of academic affairs, was interviewed for a story in the December 11th, 2011, issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education about how educational data mining to customize student experiences and selections.
