Austin Peay State University pool open for 2018 season

Clarksville, TN – Pool season is officially here, which means summer is even closer. The pool at the APSU Foy Fitness and Recreation Center opened Tuesday, April 17th, to students, members and the Clarksville community.

Dunbar Cave State Park to build Butterfly Garden

Clarksville, TN – If you have visited Dunbar Cave State Park lately, you will have noticed that the back plaza area has been dug up and is mainly a pile of dirt. This area is being prepared for a Butterfly Garden.
When Dunbar Cave was bought in 1973 and turned into a state park, the area in front of the bath house of the visitor center was a swimming pool. However, the pool was in such disarray that is was not economical to fix it. So the state decided to fill it in with dirt.
Indoor Aquatic Center Grand Opening

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department held the Grand Opening of the new Indoor Aquatic Center on January 29th, 2011 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan was there for the ribbon cutting. There were prizes given away, a Polar Bear Splash as well as tours to learn about the new programs available there. One lucky winner took home a FREE pool membership for the entire winter season.
