This month, Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre, is taking audiences from Versailles to the guillotine with a stylistic and satirical retelling of the life and final days of the most famous queen of France.

A contemporary twist on a historical tale, David Adjmi’s “Marie Antoinette” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, April 12th, at 8:00pm.

Clarksville’s First Thursday Art Walk sees large crowd

First Thursday Art WalkClarksville, TN – For April’s First Thursday Art Walk, Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC) featured the work of two local favorites, Beverly Parker and Bob Privett, in a show titled ‘Two: Two Artists, Two Friends, Two Styles.’

Privett is a painter who works in the style Les Fauves, French for ‘the wild beasts’, a style that emphasizes strong color over realistic values.

Parker is a photographer, elements of Les Fauves can be seen in her work as well. Her sought-after works use exaggerated color, distressed images, and abstract layers that incorporate watercolor, text, and fabric.

Works by local artists, Bob privett, and Beverly Parker, were featured at the Downtown Artists Co-op for April's First Thursday Art Walk.

Roxy Regional Theatre to Unveil 34th Season at “Happenin’ at the Hollemans” on Monday, May 23rd

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – A famous ’50s foursome worth a million. A prince who will be king. That lad of Wilde’s who never grows old. A half woman, half fish. This is just a sampling of what awaits the corner of Franklin and First in 2016-2017.

For the fourth consecutive year, Mark, Ricki, John Mark and Will Holleman will host “Happenin’ at the Hollemans,” an evening of entertainment featuring the unveiling of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s highly-anticipated “Season 34: Play Your Part” on Monday, May 23rd, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
