Clarksville Downtown Parking Changes Proposed

Clarksville, TN – Downtown merchants and property owners gathered Wednesday to hear City of Clarksville officials and consultants from Premier Parking outline potential changes to on-street metered parking in Downtown Clarksville.
City officials said the changes would create a more consumer friendly approach to downtown parking and overcome some of the current system’s equipment and enforcement challenges.
Clarksville to increase Downtown Parking Rates by 50 cents an hour on April 1st, 2017.

Valentine’s Day at Madeleine’s Place

Clarksville, TN – Madeleine’s Place recently opened at the corner of Strawberry Alley and First Street, the owners’ second Clarksville location, where they deliver a mix of French home-cooking, breads, pastries and more.
For Valentine’s Day, Owners, Haja Bosela and Eric Moutard, along with their small but talented staff, served up a 5-course meal at the cozy 40-seat bistro that somehow managed at once to completely satisfy their guests, and leave them wanting more.
Chef Pierre Herme-inspired Isaphan (Rose, Raspberry and Lychee) Macaron Cake filled with butter creme, hints of chocolate and raspberry, and a dollop of Raspberry Coulis on the side.

Clarksville Park and Recreation’s Fright on Franklin provides Halloween Family Fun

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s annual Fright on Franklin was a huge success, with thousands coming out to enjoy great weather, cute costumes and seemingly endless buckets of candy.
This year’s activities were rescheduled for Sunday, which turned out to be a great move, as areas of Clarksville were devastated by strong winds that moved through Montgomery County Saturday afternoon.
About 70 tents were lined up along Franklin Street, Public Square, First Street and Strawberry Alley, from which costumed volunteers from local businesses and organizations handed out treats from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
