Clarksville, TN – Please come join Clarksville Police for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, Thursday, November 29th, from 3:00pm-4:00pm at 1674 Fort Campbell Boulevard. The good folks at Starbucks will providing the cup and CPD officers will be there to chat with you. Hope you can make it.
Oftentimes, the majority of contact between the public and law enforcement are during emergencies or very emotional situations, which do not provide a good opportunity for relationship building.
Memory Lane Cruisers have new location for “Cruise Night”

Clarksville, TN – Memory Lane Cruiser’s Cruise Night has a brand new site. Starting April 2nd – October 1st, Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm, they will be cruisin at Books A Million parking lot, located at 125 Hampton Place, Clarksville, TN 37040 (Corner of Hampton Place and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard).
They welcome all classic cars/trucks, muscle cars, streetrods and hotrods. There will be Door prizes, 50’s/60’s Music and more.

Youth Gain Self Esteem Through Fashion Show Gala
Clarksville, TN – Tuesday, January 25th, 2014 marked the 1st Annual LEAP Charity Fashion Show Gala at the Emmanuel Family Life Center.
Youth modeled the fashions of local designers such as ELO, Molerevon, Sacer & Savive, Heaven Sent Bowtique, Filthy Rich Celebrity Jewelry, and E & S Fashions with Gem’s Hair Salon and Eyetunes donating their time to provide participants with hair and makeup makeovers. While some students modeled, other students prepared the food and served guests.
Woodward Library Society supports APSU library

Clarksville, TN – In 2005, the Austin Peay State University Felix G. Woodward Library had around 185,000 visitors a year. Today, with a renovated lobby, new computers and study areas, a writing center and a Starbucks coffee shop, the yearly door count is around 653,000.
“Eight years ago, we had 185,000 for the whole year, and now we’re going to see 100,000 students come in this month,” Joe Weber, director of the library, said.
Author Michael Freeland to have Book Signing at Starbucks

Clarksville, TN – Author Michael Freeland, author of “Blood River to Berlin” and “Time and The River”, will sign his books this Saturday, December 17th, at 10:00am at the Starbucks on Madison Street in Clarksville TN.
Octogenarian Freeland is a member of the Greatest Generation. He served as a medic during World War II and wrote of his experiences in both books. “Time and The River” features photographs by his wife, Ellen. [Read more]
City votes on Clarksville’s Best for the March of Dimes

Clarksville, Tenn -The Best of Clarksville fundraiser for the March of Dimes is eagerly awaited each year by both businesses and area residents. The fundraiser this year featured 140 businesses in 65 categories; each one looking to score the votes of area residents to be declared The Best of Clarksville. The event consists of local vendor booths, silent auctions, dance performances, free give-a-ways, and a fireworks show by Allen’s Fireworks. All of the money raised is donated to the March of Dimes.
Matthews Nissan Suzuki was the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors included Five Star Radio, Sango Village Florist, US Bank, Cumberland Bank and Trust, FedEx, Allen’s Fireworks, Ad One Advertising, WJZM 1400 AM, and The Leaf-Chronicle.
