In the month of May, the Museum will feature 2012 National Juried Exhibition, Outdoors In: The Paintings of Lori Putnam, The Unfortunate Fate: Titanic 1912, Civil War Medicine, Celebrating 1898: Artifacts & History, “Let’s Find Clocks” and so much more.
Clarksville’s Civil War Story Video Wins Award from Tennessee Association of Museums

Clarksville, TN – “Crossroads of Change, Clarksville, Tennessee 1861-1865,” a locally-produced video providing a perspective of the impact of the Civil War upon Clarksville and its inhabitants during the years 1861 to 1865, was honored with a 2012 Certificate of Commendation from the Tennessee Association of Museums (TAM) at its annual convention held recently in Memphis Tennessee.

Actor Keith McCoy portrays a member of the US Colored Troops in this scene from “Crossroads of Change, Clarksville, Tennessee 1861-1865.” The video was researched, written and filmed in Montgomery County and is based on local journals and diaries of the Civil War era.

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, January 19th the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is having their free monthly Art & Lunch presentation. This month they will be showing the movie Joan Mitchell: Portrait of An Abstract Painter.

Customs House Museum’s “Snowflake Special” Christmas model trains to run through December

Clarksville, TN– The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center’s collection of Christmas trains, known as the “Snowflake Special”, will run every Sunday from 1:00pm–4:00pm, except Christmas and New Year’s Day.
