City Pools will be operating on special schedule this Friday

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces that all five City pools will open at 1:00pm on Friday, August 5th, which is a half-day for Clarksville-Montgomery County School students.

Bel-Aire, Swan Lake and Smith pools will end their Summer season at the close of business on Sunday, August 7th. Meanwhile, New Providence and Beachaven pools will remain open Friday through Sunday, each weekend until Labor Day. [Read more]

Mayor Kim McMillan to Announce Fitness Council Members

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will announce members of the Mayor’s Fitness Council at a July fitness event at 5:00pm Wednesday at Smith Pool.

Following the City Council’s approval on July 7th to establish the Fitness Council, McMillan will appoint the members to the new board, which will take a pro-active, multi-faceted approach to helping residents achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle via education, becoming more active and proper nutrition. Billy Dunlop Park will be closed to the public July 10th-15th for Girl Scouts Day Camp and July 16th-22nd for Boy Scouts Day Camp.
