Clarksville, TN – In two newly-added performances, young people from the Roxy Regional Theatre’s School of the Arts will present their fresh take on Edgar Lee Masters’ classic “Spoon River Anthology” on Saturday, January 12th, and Saturday, January 19th, at noon.

Richview Middle School Students to Compete in National History Day Competition

Clarksville, TN – All Eighth grade PASS (gifted program) students in Montgomery County competed in the district level of the National History Day Contest on February 22nd, 2012.
Students who placed at the district level moved on to compete at the state level on April 22nd, 2012 in Nashville Tennessee.
Emily Ritchart, John Courson, Jake Kolaski, Sidney McCarty, and Cherie Saffold of Richview Middle School are heading to Washington D.C. to compete in National History Day.

When his parents get divorced and he’s forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, thirteen-year-old Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done.

Clarksville, TN – This week the Roxy Regional Theatre will be staging the last few runs of their production of the Charles Dickens classic tale, A Christmas Carol. There are a few things that tell me Christmas is coming each year; the lighting of Christmas on the Cumberland, Downtown for the Holidays and the Christmas parade, and the Roxy’s wonderful annual rendition of this timeless Christmas story. This week is your last chance to catch this heartwarming show.
The play features John McDonald as Ebenezer Scrooge, and follows him as he meets the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future while rediscovering the true meaning of the Christmas season. McDonald is backed up by a stellar cast that includes: Ryan Bowie, Brianna Hertzberg, Travis Kendrick, Alan Lee, Brandon Meeks, Leah Sugerman and Joylene Taylor. Beauty and the Beast Jr. at the Roxy brings back fond memories

They say your first musical will always be your favorite, and that is the case for me with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, it was the show that was playing when I first ventured into the Roxy Regional Theatre. Their professional production of this Disney classic sparked a continuing love of Musical Theatre in me.
So, when I heard that the Roxy was planning on staging Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. as part of their 2010 season I was excited as I saw it as as chance to revisit my first musical. And I wasn’t disappointed. Watching those young actors and actresses performing their hearts out, renewed that feeling of wonder that I experienced when I sat in the seats watching my very first show at the Roxy.

Dancing flatware, menacing wolves, and singing furniture will fill the Roxy’s stage with thrills in this beloved fairy tale about very different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love.
