Roxy Regional Theatre Celebrates 42 Years with Gala Event set for October 5th

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, is celebrating 42 years of live theatre in the heart of historic Downtown Clarksville with Gala 42, an evening of fine food, art, music, dancing, and revelry on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.
Presented by the DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview, this year’s fundraiser will be held in the Cypress Ballroom of the hotel’s newly renovated downtown location at 50 College Street.
Gala 42 will begin at 6:00pm with cocktails and a silent auction featuring diverse and original works by area artists and specialty gift baskets.

Clarksville, TN – F&M Bank was nationally recognized by the American Bankers Association Foundation for its Operation: Partners Serve program with a 2020 ABA Foundation
Community Commitment Award. The award was given to F&M Bank for its efforts in the supporting military families category and was presented during ABA’s Unconventional Convention on October 20th, 2020.
Entries were divided into seven categories including affordable housing, community and economic development, financial education, economic inclusion, protecting older Americans, supporting military families and volunteerism. Award winners were chosen by a field of nationally-recognized experts.
APSU’s Candlelight Ball to return next May

Clarksville, TN – Last spring, the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic caused Austin Peay State University (APSU) to cancel its premier social event, the Candlelight Ball, for the first time in 36 years.
The ball, which raises money for vital student scholarships, is set to return next spring, and organizers are working to keep the annual celebration from suffering another disruption.
