“Million Dollar Quartet” Raises the Curtain on Season 34 at the Roxy Regional Theatre, September 16th – October 15th

Clarksville, TN – On December 4th, 1956, an extraordinary twist of fate brought music icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee, for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever.
This fall, the Roxy Regional Theatre offers a glimpse inside the recording studio on that legendary night with an unforgettable evening of red-hot rock ‘n’ roll hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Walk the Line,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog” and more.

Clarksville, TN – Despite global panic in the 1930s, people found themselves rallying the only way they knew how — through music. Famed composer of the period Ira Gershwin once said, “A song without music is a lot like H2 without the O.”
Leading in to Season 34, the Roxy Regional Theatre is presenting a musical journey through the decade, cabaret style, with the new musical revue “Kit Kat Club”, August 26th – September 10th.
Created by Ryan Bowie and Sidney McCarty and directed by Bowie, this new musical revue is being presented as part of the Roxy’s “On The Terrazzo” Series, which features performances in the intimate setting of the theatre’s lobby.

Exciting Lineup and Changes in Store for Roxy Regional Theatre’s SEASON 34

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is gearing up to celebrate 34 years of presenting live theatre in the heart of Historic Downtown Clarksville on the corner of Franklin and First. The Roxy has long been regarded as “the cornerstone of downtown re-development,” and SEASON 34 will see new productions and exciting changes to the programming and structure of the theatre.
Ryan Bowie, longtime company member and former Director of Fundraising and Development, will take the reins as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Vendor Applications Now Being Accepted for 11th Annual “Frolic on Franklin”, September 24th

Clarksville, TN – Applications are now being accepted for booth space at the 11th annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts.”
The event will be held on Saturday, September 24th, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, in the 100-block of historic Franklin Street in downtown Clarksville.
Coordinated by the Roxy Regional Theatre, the street event offers 30 vendor spaces where artists can showcase and sell fine arts and handcrafted items, including photography, paintings and drawings, pottery, jewelry, glass items and more.
The Awesome 80’s Prom Dances Through the Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarksville, TN – Written by Ken Davenport, “The Awesome 80’s Prom” at the Roxy Regional Theatre featured a cast that sparkled through the music of the era with not only audience participation throughout but sizzling singing and dancing.
Joe Filippo as Mr. Richard “Dick” Snelgrove, the principal, attempted to keep the boisterous cast in line as Stephanie Stafford as Mrs. Patty Lascalzo (or Mrs. L, the drama teacher) announced irrelevant interruptions such as the Alabama car parked in the wrong spot.
