Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library launches Summer Reading and Summer Feeding Programs June 11th

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library’s annual summer reading program will kick off June 11th, 2018 with a lineup of events and resources designed to encourage children, teens and adults to exercise their minds by reading through the summer vacation. The theme of this year’s program is “Libraries Rock” with music playing a large role in the programming.

In addition to all of the fun events happening throughout the six-week Summer Reading Program, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is pleased to announce that they are hosting a free lunch program for the children of Montgomery County.

Clarksville’s Chocolate Affair a Sweet Indulgence

Chocolate AffairClarksville, TN – On Saturday, February 7th, Clarksville Parks and Recreation along with Planters Bank held the 3rd annual Chocolate Affair at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center located at 1190 Cumberland Drive.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to sample products from local vendors, restaurants and groceries. It was a festive event with everyone all smiles as they indulged in chocolate delights.

Clarksville’s Riverfest gets dazzled by Magician Russ Nowack

2014 RiverfestClarksville, TN – Riverfest patrons got a taste of slight of hand and illusion Saturday, September 6th by magician Russ Nowack on the River of Culture Stage. From the rings to the disappearing silk handkerchief, Nowack amazed and mesmerized the adults and kids alike with his feats of magic.

With his people skills, he was able draw the audience into his act and had them participating as well.

Clarksville’s Riverfest closed out with Tracy Lawrence on the Miller Lite Stage

2014 RiverfestClarksville, TN – The final day of the 2014 Riverfest Festival started like the day before but with a steady wind mitigating the worst effects of the heat.

Crowds started arriving early for the festival with the kickoff of the Riverfest Regatta, and action on the various stages beginning simultaneously.

Bruce and Karen Gundling were enjoying the sights and sounds of the festival with their son Trey. They had traveled to Riverfest all the way from Ottawa Canada.

This is the third year that City Saver and the Education Foundation have partnered on this project to help local schools.

Clarksville’s Riverfest begins Friday, September 6th

Clarksville's Riverfest 2013Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest begins this weekend Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th, 2013. This two day festival runs Friday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00pm.

On, Friday, Christian recording group Sidewalk Prophets will be performing at 9:00pm on the First Baptist Church Stage.

Johnny T will be performing on the Gateway Realty Stage at 9:30pm Saturday. Country recording artist Phil Vassar will take the stage at 9:00pm as the headlining performer on the Miller Stage on Saturday. [Read more]

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The second day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires festival opened with an unseasonable chill in the air, but that didn’t stop the crowds for coming out for the second day of this wonderful three day festival held in Historic Downtown Clarksville Tennessee.

On the first day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival I concentrated mostly on the musical entertainment, today I engaged in one of the most popular activities at the festival, people watching!
