Clarksville, TN – Take a musical trip down memory lane at the Roxy Regional Theatre with the ’50s and ’60s musical comedy “The Marvelous Wonderettes”, opening Friday, May 31st, at 8:00pm.
Betty Jean (Heather Gault), Cindy Lou (Taylor Galvin), Missy (Ashley Harris) and Suzy (Elena Pascullo) are the Wonderettes, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts!

Roxy Regional Theatre to Launch 31st Season with Monty Python’s “Spamalot”

Clarksville, TN – At a soirée last Tuesday evening at the home of arts supporters Mark and Ricki Holleman, the Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville’s oldest live theatre and only professional theatre, unveiled its 31st Anniversary Season.
Under the direction of Tom Thayer, executive director, and John McDonald, artistic director, the theatre will launch the new season on September 13th with the Tony Award-winning musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” — Monty Python’s Spamalot. Clarksville, TN – Go “under the sea” this summer with the Roxy Regional School of the Arts in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.”, opening Friday, May 17th, at 6:00pm.
Based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film, “The Little Mermaid Jr.” tells the story of the beautiful young mermaid Ariel (Ashley Knowles), who longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above.
But first, she’ll have to defy her father King Triton (Tristan Sartor), make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula (Sidney McCarty), and convince Prince Eric (Truman Jepson) that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.

Rivers and Spires Festival reaches Crescendo with Jo Dee Messina Concert

Clarksville, TN -The final day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival began with absolutely glorious weather. The sun was shining and the sky was that special shade of blue you get after a spring storm. The crowds started showing up even before the 10:00am official opening time.
Dave Loos, Jr. from WJZM 1400 AM was on hand broadcasting Live from the Bill Roberts Thunder Road Automotive and Marine booth just down from the Roxy Regional Theatre. He spent the morning interviewing festival organizers and some of the sponsors.

Enchanting fun for audiences of all ages, the award-winning Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure makes its regional premiere on Friday, April 12th, at 8:00pm.
Based on J.M. Barrie’s original play, with permission from Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Peter Pan features music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (award-winning composers of Honk! and Mary Poppins) and book by Willis Hall.

Civil War Stories at the Roxy Regional Theatre starting March 29th

Clarksville, TN – This spring, the Roxy Regional Theatre offers a glimpse of war through the eyes of a Union soldier, a Confederate sympathizer and a mute boy. Ambrose Bierce’s “Civil War Stories” premieres Friday, March 29th, at 8:00pm, for a limited run.
Celebrated for their intensity, insight and mastery of form, Ambrose Bierce’s collection of stories has been described as one of the great antiwar statements in American literature.
