Clarksville, TN – Big dogs and little dogs, blue dogs and red dogs, dogs in cars and dogs in trees … celebrate imagination as P.D. Eastman’s classic children’s book “Go, Dog. Go!” comes to life onstage at the Roxy Regional Theatre on three Saturday mornings, September 26th – October 10th.
Clocking in at just under an hour, this engaging and interactive musical provides the perfect introduction to theatre and is especially suited for Pre-K through 2nd Grade. Directed by Tom Thayer, “Go, Dog. Go!” was adapted by Steven Dietz and Allison Gregory, along with composer Michael Koerner, from P.D. Eastman’s classic children’s book renowned for its ability to generate fun, learning and surprise with a minimum of words.

Directed and choreographed by Tom Thayer, “Oliver!” creates the perfect mix of comedy, song and dance in a show made for the entire family. Vividly bringing to life Charles Dickens’ timeless characters with its ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more, this musical masterpiece chronicles the adventures of orphan Oliver Twist as he navigates London’s underworld of theft and violence in his search for a home, a family and — most importantly — love.
Tenth Annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts” set for Saturday, September 19th

Clarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville’s 10th Annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts” will take place Saturday, September 19th from 8:30am to 3:30pm. This free event will showcase the works of more than 30 artists, staged entertainment and art demonstrations — all along the 100 block of historic Franklin Street.
A variety of original fine art, as well as handmade crafts, will be on display including paintings and photography, jewelry, clay garden items, wood work, purses and fabric accessories, pottery, candles, jewelry, woven and knitted items, and seasonal gifts. Items will be for sale with prices ranging from $2.00 to $500.00.

Leading in to the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 33rd Season, “Speakeasy” will showcase the music of the Roaring Twenties, cabaret style, August 28th – September 12th.
After congregating at the entrance to the “”Speakeasy”” (the front door of the Roxy), audiences will gain access to the lobby and performance space with the magic words “Joe Sent Me.”

Clarksville, TN – Seventy-six trombones will close the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 32nd season with a nostalgic bang when Meredith Willson’s great American musical classic “The Music Man”marches onto the mainstage, July 17th – August 22nd.
Reprising his role from the 2011 national tour of “The Music Man”, John Adkison stars as fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill, who cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize … despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef! However, his plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for town librarian Marian Paroo, played by Mary Malaney.
