Clarksville, TN – When the lights go out, for an electric line worker, duty calls. He puts his life on the line to ensure we have all the conveniences electricity provides us. This weekend, all of Clarksville will get a chance to watch electric line workers from across the Tennessee Valley show off their skills, 45 feet in the air.
Concert at Mag’s Coffee Shop

Clarksville, TN – The band, Unnamed Servant, decided to stop at Mag’s Coffee Shop on Riverside Drive in Clarksville on Friday night as a last minute concert stop as the band makes it’s way to St. Louis and eventually on to the west coast.
The Owners of Mag’s Coffee Stop were contacted by the band early in the week about being the location for the concert and after a flurry of emails back and forth the date was set. Even with the last minute notice a couple dozen people were on hand to enjoy the performance.
Road Closures announced for Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.
Also, starting the morning of April 19th, parking will be restricted in some downtown areas. There will be orange “No Parking” bags placed over meters in the restricted parking areas. [Read more]

Glenellen Elementary School Collects Pennies for Paws

Clarksville, TN – The fifth grade classes of Ms. Morris, Ms. Hoyt, Ms. Blick, Ms. Summers, Ms. Moseley and Ms. Hall at Glenellen Elementary School recently competed for a pizza party by collecting pennies (although no form of money was turned away!) for the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County.
Ms. Hall’s class earned the pizza party raising nearly one-third of the total collected! But, the real winner was the Humane Society with an overall $331.22 raised.
G’s Pancake House to host free tax advice day at both locations March 17th

Clarksville, TN – The Lighthouse Cafe invites you to the grand-opening of a new youth center serving the greater Clarksville region. Formerly a water-works building as well as a series of night clubs, Clarksville’s 808 South Riverside Drive is now known as The Lighthouse Cafe & Christian Concert Hall.
The all-volunteer staff is headed by Dara Smith, a Clarksville-area mother and real estate agent who left her career to join with like-minded individuals to create a safe, family-friendly outlet for youth.

Clarksville, TN – Lasaters Coffee and Tea has announced the winner of their $1000 cash sweepstakes giveaway. In a presentation ceremony Friday at the Sango location of the popular coffee shop, Michael Clark of Clarksville received his $1000 check.
In a promotion that included WJZM radio, and Clarksville Online, Lasaters offered a chance to win the one thousand dollars, along with other prizes including an ipad, roku box, and more. The contest received over eight thousand entries.
