Riverfest to come to a close Saturday with Fireworks Display

Clarksville, TN – With the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic still having a widespread impact, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department adapted the traditional three-day Riverfest celebration into nearly two weeks of in-person and virtual events.
Riverfest 2020 will come to a close on Saturday, September 12th with a fireworks display from 9:00pm-9:15pm near Kings Run Bark Park inside Liberty Park. The park gates will be closed until 6:00pm on September 12th in preparation for the event.

Clarksville, TN – The Riverfest Regatta, sponsored by U.S. Bank, is not your typical boat race. The boats racing down the Cumberland River Saturday morning, September 10th, will be made of cardboard and a few other approved materials. Not only will teams be racing for bragging rights, but trophies will also be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams in each division.
Competition will be in five divisions: Adult Open, Business and Industry, Church/Civic, City Department and Military. Stephen Kemmer, U.S. Bank Community President and District Manager, and his team plan to race their boat in the Business and Industry division.
Build and Race your Cardboard Boat at Riverfest 2010!

Saturday, September 11th – Sign-in begins at 9:00am at McGregor Park’s Boat Ramp, Races 10:00 am– 1:00pm.
A cardboard boat regatta is an event where participants build their own boats using materials from a specified list and race them during timed heats with the fastest time being declared the winner in the respective classes. The course is 100 yards long.
The Riverfest Regatta boats will be raced on the Cumberland River.
