CPD’s Youth Coalition Essay Winners Rewarded

Clarksville, TN – CPD’s Youth Coalition essay contest winners were recognized by the Clarksville Police Department at an award ceremony held at Police Headquarters on January 19th. The idea for the essay contest was originated by Rita Quarles and Stefanni Keener, both volunteer mentors for CPD’s Youth Coalition.
The 18 contestants were all participants in the Police Department’s Youth Coalition program. They had to read and write an essay about the book, “Lord of the Flies”. The essays were initially read and judged by Rita Quarles and Steffani Keener and they selected their top three choices.
