AAU Basketball Tryouts December 4th

Clarksville, TN – Tryouts for the Clarksville 4th-8th grade Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Competitive Basketball teams will be December 4th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Richview Middle School.
Prior registration is not required and tryout times are as follows; 9 to 10 years-old, 9:00am to 10:30am; 11 to 12 years-old, 11:00am to 12:30pm; 13 to 14 years-old, 1:00pm to 2:30pm. [Read more]
2010 American Honey Queen to visit Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Lisa Schluttenhofer, the 2010 American Honey Queen, will visit Clarksville Tennessee November 4th-9th. She will make appearances at the local schools, speaking to students about how honeybee pollination creates the building blocks of our food supply.
She will also speak to area Girl Scout troops where she will share information about the many uses for helpful and wholesome honey, including the beauty secrets provided by bees. Her visit will also include speeches to the Clarksville Sunrise Rotary and the Montgomery County Beekeepers Association. [Read more]

Richview Middle School Principal Appointed
Lisa Clark has been named Principal at Richview Middle School, replacing Mary Gist who announced her resignation this week to take a principalship in Williamson County.
Clark has been assistant principal at Richview for two years. She formerly served as assistant principal at Glenellen Elementary.
Clark earned her M.A. in educational administration and supervision from Austin Peay State University, where she also earned her B.S. in elementary education. Prior to her administrative experience at Glenellen, Clark served as an academic coach and math teacher at Richview. She also worked as an elementary school teacher at Sango.

Kenwood Middle School Administrator Change Announced
Bart Dixon has been appointed principal of Kenwood Middle School, replacing Frank Wilson who today announced his acceptance of the assistant principalship at Kenwood High School.
Dixon was named assistant principal of West Creek High School in February 2009. He previously served five years as band director and after-school program site director at Richview Middle School.
Dixon has served as a music educator on the elementary, middle and high school levels in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and schools in Paducah and Hopkinsville, Kentucky. [Read more]
