Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence opens for the season

Clarksville, TN – Don’t miss the first day of Indoor Swimming Season this Saturday, October 1st! The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, opens its doors for the season at 10:00am.
Patrons can check out the Indoor Aquatic Center, also referred to as “The Dome”, for free on opening day! The Dome will also debut the “Aqua Run” wibit, a floating inflatable obstacle course, on opening day. [Read more]
1st Annual Psi Pi Chapter Golf Tournament

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, September 30th, 2011, the 1st Annual Psi Pi Chapter Golf Tournament will be held at the Cole Park Golf Course Fort Campbell, KY. This event benefits the E. Hyburnia Williams Scholarship Fund.
This is a four man scramble “Best Ball” tournament played over 18 holes. All players will play from the blue tees. The cost is $75.00 per person or $300.00 per team. Mulligans can be purchased at $5.00 each.
APSU’s 2011 Homecoming features two sports events open to public

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University National Alumni Association will sponsor both a golf tournament and 5K scholarship run during Homecoming 2011, and those will be open to the public.
The 33rd Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament will be at 8:00am, Friday, October 28th at Swan Lake Golf Course. Cost is $60.00 per person, and advance registration is required. Fee includes ditty bag, refreshments on the golf course and light lunch. The event, sponsored by Budweiser of Clarksville, is chaired by alumnus Frazier Allen (’99). [Read more]

Go Commando Half-Marathon and 5K on October 15th to benefit APSU scholarships

Clarksville, TN – Help raise money for Austin Peay State University scholarships by running in the community’s first GoCommando Half-Marathon and 5K next month.
The half-marathon begins at 7:30am, Saturday, October 15th. The 5K race starts at 8:00am. Both races will begin at Liberty Park and continue along the Cumberland River. The courses are certified by the USA Track and Field.

Clarksville, TN – On September 24th, 2011 the annual Stop Child Trafficking Now Walk and Run will be held at the APSU Parking Lot on 8th Street. Registration is at 7:30am. The ceremony starts at 8:30am.
Join thousands of individuals in 33 cities nationwide as we walk/run this September to stop the most heinous crime of our day – child sex slavery. By walking or running, YOU can help bring an end to slavery in our cities and in our nation once and for all!
