2012 Jammin' in the AlleyClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation department is excited to announce The Rooted Wings to play at the next Jammin’ in the Alley concert June 15th.

The annual summer concert series, presented by U.S. Bank, is now in its 5th season and will feature a variety of local talent. In addition to the live music, downtown restaurants will offer outdoor dining for concert-goers.

Join us September 16th for this month’s free concert and to enjoy yet another “night market,” featuring more than a dozen vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market. Vendors will be set up from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00pm.

Clarksville Montgomery County Convention and Visitors BureauClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce their 2011-2012 Board of Directors.

Newly elected to the board is Carolyn Pierce and reappointed to the board is Geno Grubbs; both will serve a three year term. Steven Stroman is this year’s Chairman and Geno Grubbs was elected as the Chairman elect. [Read more]

Jammin in the Alley 2011Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 15th, the Clarksville Downtown Market will hold its first-ever “Night Market” in conjunction with the City of Clarksville and U.S. Bank’s popular summer concert series Jammin’ in the Alley.

More than a dozen vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market will be set up along Strawberry Alley from 5:00pm to 8:00pm selling a variety of homegrown and homemade items.

Jammin' In the AlleyThe City of Clarksville together with U.S. Bank will soon be Jammin’ in Strawberry Alley once more. Join us on Friday, July 16th for Jammin’ in the Alley’s third year in downtown Clarksville.

This month’s free concert features the Tina Brown. This New York native has quickly become a Clarksville favorite performing at various events around town, to include our recent July 3rd Celebration at McGregor Park. Corrected: Homes for Our Troops to build new house for disabled Clarksville vet

The Homes for Our Troops Build Brigade for Army SSG Heath Calhoun will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM Friday, April 23rd – Sunday April 25th. Not the 30th as originally reported!

Homes for Our Troops will hold a three-day Build Brigade starting Friday April 23rd – Sunday April 25th to provide Army Sergeant Heath Calhoun with a specially adapted barrier free home. The Build Brigade will take place at 1890 Walter Road in Clarksville, TN

Homes for Our Troops Construction Manager Larry Archer along with General Contractor Jimmy Miller from Jimmy Miller Construction will raise the first wall at 8:30 AM on Friday April 30. Mayor Johnny Piper will welcome everyone at that time during the official ceremony.

SSG Heath Calhoun served in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division. He was severely injured when a rocket-propelled grenade hit his Humvee on November 7, 2003, resulting in the amputation of both his legs above the knee.

F&M Bank Maintains Market Share Top Spot in Montgomery County and MSA

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — According to reports just issued by the FDIC, F&M Bank has maintained its number one ranking for total deposits in Montgomery County for the sixth year in a row.  F&M increased its market share in Montgomery County to 19.52% of total deposits, an increase of .56% over last year.  According to the 2009 FDIC reports of deposits through June 30, 2009, Regions Bank ranked number two with 13.43%, while Legends Bank held the number-three position with 12.26%.   Other banks with double-digit market share in Montgomery County include First Federal with 12.17%, U.S. Bank with 11.49% and Bank of America with 11.15%.
