Rivers and Spires’ Quilts of the Cumberland winners for 2016

Clarksville, TN – Rivers and Spires held their annual Quilts of the Cumberland Quilt show on April 14th-16th at the Madison Street United Methodist Church. The show displayed a variety of quilts from traditional to one of a kind art quilts by local artists. The event was free and open to the public.
The quilts showed just how talented artists are in the area. They were simply beautiful. The event had juried exhibitions and non-juried exhibitions as well.
Hilltop Super Market’s Easter Egg Hunt a delight for young and old alike

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, March 26th, Hilltop Super Market held their 21st annual Easter Egg Hunt. The skies were clear, weather warm, and there was a slight breeze. It was a great day for the event.
Festivities began at 11:00am and the egg hunt started at 2:00pm. Some of the activities were inflatable bounce houses provided by U-Jumpin’ Foulks, face painting done by Montgomery Central High School Cheerleaders, a duck pond, cupcake decorating and plenty more.
Rivers and Spires holds Trunk Show during Quilts of the Cumberland event

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Quilts of the Cumberland Quilt Show held a Trunk Show on Thursday, April 16th at the Madison Street United Methodist Church. Charlie Rhea presented a lecture and quilt trunk show entitled “Quilting Through the Years with Jamie and Charlie.”
Jamie Williams, her friend and quilting partner, was ill and did not want to pass it around so she did not attend.

Clarksville, TN – September 11th, 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that forever changed the United States and its people. It’s designated as the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
