Lions Club Sheriff’s Office Appreciation Breakfast

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Queen City Lions Club held their annual Sheriff’s Office Appreciation Breakfast over the weekend.

After a breakfast of sausage and pancakes, local Lions Club President Ed Lantz presented awards to three deputies in recognition of their service to Montgomery County.

Deputy Adam Liberatore received The Lions Cub Award. The award is presented to a deputy with less than one year of service.

Hands On ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – September 11th, 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that forever changed the United States and its people. It’s designated as the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

APSU Foundation selects new members to serve for 2011

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Foundation has selected 10 new members for 2011.

The APSU Foundation provides the structure through which the University can work directly with special volunteers and community leaders to enhance the financial well being of the University. The Foundation’s purpose is to financially support the University.

The Foundation is a separate entity and is chartered by the state, with the authority to receive private gifts in support of the University. Through its executive committee, the Foundation makes its own policy decisions. The University provides administrative support to the Foundation. [Read more]

Queen City Lions club receives grant

June 5, 2010

The local Queen City Lions Club has received a grant in the form of twenty-five $50 gift cards from the Lions Club International. The Lions Club partnered with Community Action Agency to distribute the funds to the flood victims in our community.
