Clarksville and Montgomery County Hosting 52nd Annual Christmas Parade

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has partnered with the Montgomery County Government this year to co-host the 52nd Annual Christmas Parade. The parade will be a night-time, lighted Christmas parade and is scheduled for December 3rd starting at 5:00pm.

2011 Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 5th, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am at 1 Public Square in downtown Clarksville. Guest speaker is Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Hubert G. Smith, who served 35 years on active duty, with remarks by County Mayor Carolyn Bowers and City Mayor Kim McMillan.

This year’s parade theme is “Saluting Special Forces and Wounded Warrior Veterans.” [Read more]

City of Clarksville Revenue Collections Office extends hours and accepts local utility bill payments

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Beginning Monday, October 3rd, 2011 the City of Clarksville Finance and Revenue Department will have extended office hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm in their Revenue Collections Office in order to better serve its citizens and make it more convenient for them to pay their property taxes and utility bills.

The Revenue Collections Office is located in the first floor of the City Hall building at One Public Square. The office collects revenue for property tax, personal property tax, general billings and parking tickets. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th, the Fireball Run Adventurally will be in Clarksville, TN as part of their 2,500 mile race and scavenger hunt.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to come out to Public Square, Downtown Clarksville, on Thursday around 4:00pm and on Friday at 9:00am to see the cars and meet the participants. This is a great opportunity to bring the whole family out to see cars that range from custom Camaros to vintage classics. City Purchases New Fire Truck

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville recently addressed the need for a new fire truck by purchasing a new 2011 Ferrara Fire Apparatus, 57’ Quint, which was displayed Wednesday afternoon on Public Square.

The modern fire fighting machine has a tank capacity of 300 Gallons and is equipped with a pump capable of pushing 1500 gallons of water per minute, if needed. The truck has a seating capacity of 6 fire fighters and is equipped with all of the latest National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) safety features. [Read more]

Fireball Run Adventurally coming to Clarksville this Month

Be A Part Of The Action

Clarksville, TN – On September 29th, Clarksville, TN will welcome 46 teams to town as part of a 2,500 mile Southeastern race and scavenger hunt that will benefit the local F.U.E.L. program. F.U.E.L. is a non-profit program that helps feed needy children whose only access to food is what they receive at school.

The Fireball Run Adventurally, sponsored by Chevrolet, will begin in Melbourne, FL on September 23rd and eventually reach their final destination in Gulfport, MS on October 1st.

In the 2011 America’s Favorite Farmer’s Markets Contest

Clarksville Downtown MarketClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Downtown Market at Public Square was recently voted #1 in the state of Tennessee and #15 in the nation, in the 2011 America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest which is hosted each year by American Farmland Trust. This is the second year in a row the Clarksville Downtown Market has won first place in the state of Tennessee.
