Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.
Upcoming events include: Evening Nature Hike, Fish, Insects and Freshwater Mussels of the Red River, Lake Critters, Fishing Equipment and Techniques and so much more!

Clarksville, TN – The Native Cultural Circle (NCC) of Clarksville will be holding their 13th annual Intertribal Powwow on October 9th and 10th; the festivities begin around 9:00am on Saturday, and 10:00am on Sunday. The Friends of Fort Defiance held their sixth annual march to the past event Sunday, April 15th 2010, near Port Royal State Park. The event which was timed to coincide with the Rivers and Spires festival held in Clarksville, TN is designed to educate attendees about what life was like in 19th century, especially the civil war era.
