Clarksville Parks & Recreation to hold guided nature hike on the Clarksville Greenway
March 3, 2011
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to attend a guided nature hike at The Clarksville Greenway, located at the end of Pollard Road. The nature hike will take place Saturday, March 19th from 8:00am to 9:00am.
Dr. L. Dwayne Estes, Associate Professor of Biology at Austin Peay State University, will be leading the guided hike. Dr. Estes will educate hikers by identifying different plants and trees along The Clarksville Greenway.
The guided nature hike is free to participants.

Pedestrian Bridge at the Clarksville Greenway Opens Tomorrow
December 15, 2010
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville along with Mayor John E. Piper will be at the Clarksville Greenway, located at 1101 Pollard Road, tomorrow December 16th at 3:00pm for the opening of the newly built pedestrian bridge.
Join us at 1101 Pollard Road to meet the family that donated $250,000 to help fund the bridge and help make this extension happen.
Greenway Opening
December 6, 2010
Clarksville, TN – On December 16th at 3:00pm the new 600-foot Greenway’s bridge will be dedicated and opened. The name of the donor who helped make the bridge possible will be announced. Upon its opening an additional 1.2 miles of walking trail will be open.
This addition will connect Pollard Road to the Hermitage Park/Kenwood School Complex. If you would like to see this come to the Pollard Road greenway hub.
Shuttles will be provided.
