Planters Names Michael Selfe Cash Management Director

Planters Bank announces the addition of Michael Selfe as director of cash management.
Selfe comes to Planters with more than 12 years of experience in treasury and cash management experience. Most recently, he served as financial services officer for middle and east Tennessee with First State Bank. Prior to that, he worked as a treasury management sales officer for SunTrust Bank.
“Mike brings a depth of cash management experience to Planters,” said CEO Elizabeth McCoy. “He will become an integral part of our commercial banking team and we are thrilled to have him.”
Selfe will work in from the Commerce Street office in Clarksville and the Main Office in Hopkinsville.
A graduate of David Lipscomb University, Selfe received a BBA in Marketing. He enjoys golf, running and a variety of other sports. He is married to Kelly and they have one daughter.
Headquartered in Hopkinsville, Planters Bank maintains three offices in Hopkinsville and five in Clarksville.
Planters Bank Selects Two More Finalists for Nissan Cube Giveaway

Two additional finalists have been selected for the Planters Bank 2010 Nissan Cube Giveaway.
Finalist number two, Rise Herndon, was selected from online entries received between May and July. Herndon lives in north Christian County.
A third finalist was selected from new accounts at the bank’s eight branches during the month of July. David Fain of Clarksville was drawn as finalist number three.

You’re invited to join the merchants of Historic Downtown Clarksville for The monthly Art Walk, on April 1st from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Kendall Welsh from ARTifacts sent us this information about April’s artistic extravaganza.
Four diverse young artists will bringing their work to the Austin Peay Downtown Gallery in April for a month-long group exhibit. The show, which will feature APSU art alumni Janelle Costello, Caroline Tuzeneu, Sam Matthews and William Arnett Gentry, opens with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 1, and it will run through May 1.
The show will feature startlingly original work, such as Costello’s diorama-like photography collages that depict surreal scenes of imagined narratives.
“The intent of this body of work is to invite the viewer to temporarily escape the mundane by accentuating the beauty of make-believe,” she said.

The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is giving you a head start with their 1st Annual Home, Lawn & Farm Show, which is being held this weekend (February 27-28) from 10am-8pm Saturday, and Sunday from 12-8pm at Austin Peay State University’s Red Barn at 256 Marion Street. General admission is $5, and children 12 & under are free.
