Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to hold Public Meeting on City Pool

Clarksville, TN – Bel-Aire Pool is one of five public city pools in Clarksville. It was recently closed due to maintenance issues. Mark Tummons, Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director, says resident input will aid in the development of future plans for the pool.
“From this process, we hope to generate involvement from conception to completion,” Tummons says. “By interacting with citizens in real-time and having two-way communication we hope to create a high level of citizen engagement.”
Ribbon Cutting to be Held for Section of Clarksville Greenway

People’s Choice Voting Underway
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce How to Train Your Dragon 2 is coming to the big screen Saturday, July 18th as part of the 2015 Movies in the Park. Admission is completely free.
When an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider is discovered by Hiccup and Toothless, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park to feature The Lego Movie this Saturday, June 20th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce The LEGO Movie is coming to the big screen Saturday, June 20th as part of the 2015 Movies in the Park.
Released in 2014, The LEGO Movie (PG) is an animated story about Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world.

Clarksville Dentistry Receives Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville Dental Center is the latest business to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville and Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard attended their green ribbon cutting to congratulate the doctors and staff on earning their certification.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park to feature Frozen this Saturday, June 6th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce Disney’s Frozen is coming to the big screen Saturday, June 6th as part of the 2015 Movies in the Park.
Released in 2013, Frozen (PG) tells the story of two sisters, Anna and Elsa. The older sister, Elsa has kept hidden her powers to turn the world around her to ice, but when her secret is exposed, she freezes their entire kingdom in an eternal winter.

Jurassic Park takes over Heritage Park May 16th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce Jurassic Park is coming to the big screen Saturday, May 16th as part of the 2015 Movies in the Park. Jurassic Park (PG-13), originally premiering in 1993, tells the story of a group of scientists who manage to bring dinosaurs back to life.
They must then deal with the unexpected consequences of their actions. The new Jurassic World is set to release this summer, making Saturday the perfect time to relive the original Jurassic Park story.
