Show Your Patriotic Spirit

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – You can show your patriotic spirit by contributing a 3-foot-by-5-foot American Flag to be placed on the 101st Pedestrian Bridge. Flags can be donated in memory of or honor of a soldier or purely as a display of patriotism.

Clarksville Police Department’s Request for Public Assistance

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying two robbery suspects. The robbery occurred May 12th, 2011, around 10:00pm, at the Food Mart, 710 Peachers Mill Road. Two males entered the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and a customer in the store, demanded and received money from the clerk, and then fled from the store.

Emergency Medical Services week

Montgomery CountyMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services is preparing for EMS Week, scheduled for May 14th – 21st. Citizens will begin to see billboards and photos throughout the community inviting everyone to the week’s activities.

Update on the Raymond C. Hand Pass pedestrian bridge closure

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville temporarily closed the Raymond C. Hand Pass pedestrian bridge on the Clarksville Greenway earlier this month after heavy rains had caused sloughing of the slopes leading to both ends of the bridge.

An expected reopening date has not been identified, said Daniel Binkley, City of Clarksville Project Manager. He said Baron+Dowdle, the contractor for the Greenway Pedestrian Bridge, has retained engineers to develop a plan for repairing the failing slopes that were constructed last fall. [Read more]

Bark in the Park

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Happy dogs and their owners are encouraged to come to this year’s Bark in the Park on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Clarksville’s Bark Park located at Heritage Park (Corner of 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Peacher’s Mill Road).

Bark in the Park, presented by Clarksville Parks & Recreation and Planter’s Bank, is a fun, family oriented event that will feature contests, beverages, food, demonstrations, dog-related vendors and services, and dogs, lots of dogs. Admission is free! [Read more]
