Clarksville, TN – After the turkey and stuffing are put away on Thanksgiving night, bring your out-of-town guests to Historic Downtown Clarksville for family entertainment sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Charles M. Schulz’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Thursday, November 23rd, at 7:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s opening night pay-what-you-can tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 6:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
As an Black Friday bonus, pay-what-you-can tickets will also be available for the 8:00pm performance on Friday, November 24th, beginning at 7:30pm that evening.

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is turning up the volume this Friday, April 29th at 8:00pm when CDE Lightband presents Green Day’s “American Idiot!”. In keeping with our traditional opening night pay-what-you-can tradition, all tickets remaining at the box office will go on sale at 7:30pm Friday evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
Struggling to find meaning in a post-9/11 world, Johnny (Joseph Spinelli), Tunny (Charles Walljasper Robinson) and Will (Ryan Alvarado) flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life. Their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces, Will is called back home to attend familial responsibilities, and Johnny’s attention becomes divided between a seductive love interest and a hazardous new friendship.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Celebrated in “The Mountaintop” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, February 24th – February 27th

Clarksville, TN – During his last night on earth, what thoughts and emotions might have passed through the mind and heart of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.? During Black History Month, in honor of the civil rights leader, the Roxy Regional Theatre explores this idea in five public performances of “The Mountaintop”, February 24th – February 27th.
On the evening of April 3rd, 1968, after delivering one of his most memorable speeches, an exhausted Dr. King retired to his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. In this gripping re-imagination of events occurring in the hours before his assassination, playwright Katori Hall picks up with a fictional depiction of a mysterious stranger who arrives at the motel room with some surprising news, forcing Dr. King to confront his destiny and his legacy to his people.

Clarksville, TN – Seventy-six trombones will close the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 32nd season with a nostalgic bang when Meredith Willson’s great American musical classic “The Music Man”marches onto the mainstage, July 17th – August 22nd.
Reprising his role from the 2011 national tour of “The Music Man”, John Adkison stars as fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill, who cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize … despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef! However, his plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for town librarian Marian Paroo, played by Mary Malaney.
