Clarksville’s Trane Facility Awarded $25,000 for Incumbent Worker Training & Apprenticeship Grants

Clarksville, TN – Trane, a world leader in indoor comfort solution and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, was awarded $25,000 for an Incumbent Worker Training grant (IWT) and $25,000 for an Apprenticeship training program for the Clarksville, Tennessee facility.
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development offers eligible Tennessee employers competitive grant funding to provide skills upgrades for existing workers or train new hires as an incentive to grow their business.

Clarksville Police Department Put Six New Officers on the Payroll

Clarksville, TN – Mayor Kim McMillan administered the Oath of Office to six new Police Officers for the Clarksville Police Department. Two of the new officers have already attended a Police Academy (Balazy, Bishop) and the other four new officers will attend the Police Academy in Donelson, March 13th-May 20th, 2011.
The new officers are Robert Thompson, Joshua Godwin, Lukasz Balazy (Certified officer), Seth Paugh, Paul Bishop (Certified officer), and Nathan Lee.
