Kicking off the Planters Bank Presents… Film Series this fall is the star-spangled classic “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, showing on the Roxy big screen this Friday, September 11th, 2020 at 7:00pm.
James Cagney danced and sang his way to a well-deserved Oscar for his outstanding portrayal of vaudeville composer and performer George M. Cohan in this Oscar-nominated biography.

Clarksville, TN – In January 2020, Dr. Ozzie Di Paolo Harrison, Austin Peay State University (APSU) professor of Spanish, had a busy summer of travel planned. He was set to take a group of students to Argentina for a study abroad trip he’d led for years, and later he intended to teach for the Máximo Nivel Institute in Costa Rica.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department announces Digital Activity Guide this Fall

Clarksville, TN – As the weather cools down and indoor activities become more popular, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is releasing a new Activity Guide that brings a catalog of those activities into the palm of your hand.
The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Activity Guide, released every three months, details all events and activities and provides information about the City’s parks and trails systems.
The guide, traditionally available in printed form, will only be available in a digital version this Fall due to the fluidity of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Digital Activity Guide will allow all activities to be current and up to date.

Mask distribution: On Monday and Tuesday, APSU cloth masks will be distributed in numerous areas across campus. You can find masks on tables at the entrances to academic buildings, at the ASK ME tents, in the Morgan University Center and at Public Safety.

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) first-ever Camp R.O.W. wrapped up this week as a huge success even though organizers had to find innovative ways to provide the summer camp-style experience while meeting U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mask and physical distancing guidelines.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation says one week remains to enter Riverfest Virtual Talent Competition

Clarksville, TN – As the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic continues to have a widespread impact, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is adapting the traditional three-day Riverfest celebration into nearly two weeks of in-person and virtual events.
The Riverfest Virtual Talent Competition is included in the lineup of events, and only one week remains for contest entries.
Participants have until August 26th, 2020 to complete an online application that includes a video of their performance that is no more than four minutes in length.
