Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library teams up with Adult Literacy Council to offer new computer, social media class

Clarksville, TN – Adults can learn basic computer and social media skills in a new class provided by the Adult Literacy Council at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.
The basic computer class will provide an in-person guide who can show adults the basics of using a computer and how to communicate with friends and family via Facebook.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library seeks Volunteers for Scholastic Book Fair

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library needs volunteers to help with the Scholastic Book Fair to be held from June 20th to June 24th from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Shifts for each day will be: 9:00am to 12:00pm, 12:00pm to 3:00pm and from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization to hold Flag Day Retirement Ceremony, June 14th

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization is hosting its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00am, May 30th, at the William O. Beach Civic Hall, Clarksville.
City and county officials, as well as MCVSO staff will give remarks, with the keynote address given by LTC (Retired) Norman “Greg” Lane, US Army Reserve, who currently serves as the Cadet Success Coordinator, Department of Military Science, Austin Peay State University ROTC.

For the fourth consecutive year, Mark, Ricki, John Mark and Will Holleman will host “Happenin’ at the Hollemans,” an evening of entertainment featuring the unveiling of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s highly-anticipated “Season 34: Play Your Part” on Monday, May 23rd, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Clarksville, TN – On April 21st, 2016, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will host a free concert by Clarksville Youth Guitar Ensemble for a concert on Thursday at 4:30pm in the atrium.
Led by director Vanessa Green, they will be performing classical and traditional Celtic pieces.

Montgomery County, TN – Organizers hope an event tomorrow will help raise awareness of domestic violence and local victims.
Deputy Peggy Macias said the “Remember My Name” event was first brought to Montgomery County in October 2013, during Domestic Violence Awareness month, to Kenwood High School in memory of assistant principal Pam Cooper, who was killed by her ex-husband.
