32 new tenure-track faculty join Austin Peay State University

Clarksville, TN – A total of 32 new tenure-track faculty members have become part of the Austin Peay State University community, beginning with the Fall 2012 semester.

Austin Peay Student Veterans Organization to show ‘Wartorn’ documentary

Clarksville, TN – September 11th, 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that forever changed the United States and its people. It’s designated as the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Lady Govs volleyball to participate in Run for the Fallen

Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team will be among the thousands nationwide participating in the third Run for the Fallen, Saturday, at Waholi Pavilion at Fort Campbell.
The event began in 2008 when a small team of runners ran across the United States to raise awareness about the lives of those service members who fought, keep the spirit of those who fell in action alive and to support organizations that help wounded veterans and the families of those killed. Last year, more than 5,000 participants in 35 states and four countries ran a combined total of more than 31,000 miles. [Read more]
Change of command scheduled at Fort Campbell

Col. Dominic J. Caraccilo will relinquish command of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) to Col. Viet X. Luong during a change of command ceremony Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at 10 a.m. in hanger three at Campbell Army Airfield.
Caraccilo assumed command of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team (187th Infantry Regiment) in November 2006 and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to commanding 3rd Brigade he held several positions within the 101st Airborne Division. He served as the Division’s operations officer for transformation and the deployment to the Multi-National Division-North, Iraq. [Read more]
