SpiritFest kicks off Christmas Season in Downtown Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Downtown Commons, along with First Presbyterian Church and Trinity Episcopal Church teamed up once again to bring SpiritFest to downtown Clarksville.
2019 marked the fifth year of the event which precedes the annual Clarksville Christmas Parade. Guests were invited to come downtown early and enjoy a variety of activities.
101st Airborne Band rocks the Downtown Commons

The event was part of the 3rd Annual SpiritFest, a holiday event, that took place in Downtown Clarksville before the 58th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade.
The Christmas celebration at the Downtown Commons featured live music on the new stage, art & gift markets, and ice skating.

Northeast High School Choirs celebrate Christmas at the Downtown Commons

Clarksville, TN – On December 2nd, 2017, the Northeast High School Choirs performed at the Downtown Commons to celebrate the Christmas Season. The event was part of the 3rd Annual SpiritFest, a holiday event, that took place in Downtown Clarksville before the 58th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade.

Northeast High School Honor Choir sings on the Montgomery County Court House steps

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 6th, 2014, Clarksville-Montgomery County held their annual Christmas Celebrations.
The festivities included the local school groups Christmas caroling on the court house steps, followed by the lighted Christmas Parade. After the Parade concluded Montgomery County held the official Lighting of the County Christmas Tree on the Courthouse law, and Santa visited with area children.
Northeast High School Honor Choir sang before the start of the parade.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville community gathered together at Northeast High School on Saturday to honor Ms. Debbie Wilson for her 20 years of service bringing the arts to students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
βIt’s an amazing thing when you realize that you done something for 20 years,β said Debbie Wilson shortly before the concert was to begin. βI am humbled that my students and alumni chose to honor me this evening.β
Crowds weather cold for Jaycees’ Christmas Parade

Despite unusually cold temperatures and a bit of a brisk wind, Christmas revelers were out in force for the annual Jaycees Christmas Parade. By mid-afternoon sponsors were queuing up in the parking lots of Austin Peay State University to put the finishing touches on their float entries.
Even as the finishing touches were added at APSU, festivities downtown were warming up with the choral work of the Northeast High School Choir (well bundled against the cold) under the direction if teacher Debbie Wilson.
The parade and its two Marching Bands (Rossview and Northeast High Schools), floats, and both civic and business entries, stepped off at 5 p.m. from the APSU campus, took approximately an hour and a half to wind its way downtown. [Read more]
