Austin Peay State University students competing in CFA Institute Research Challenge

Clarksville, TN – Students from Austin Peay State University will be competing in the local challenge CFA Institute Research Challenge on March 5th in Nashville, TN.
Last year, nearly 2,500 students from more than 546 universities in 45 countries participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, a global competition that tests students’ analytic, valuation, report writing and presentation skills. The CFA societies will host challenges with nearby universities and select one winning team based on the students’ research report and presentation. [Read more]
Roxy Regional Theatre introduces actors and actresses for upcoming performances

Clarksville, TN – The warmer weather is not the only change happening in Clarksville, as the Roxy Regional Theatre has a whole new company taking on the next several shows in the 29th season. Some of you will recognize from past Roxy productions and we are excited to have several new faces joining us this season.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce them, as they are a part of our Roxy family and will serve Clarksville with their stellar performances over the next several months.
New APSU Exhibit “Re-presents” Historic Paintings

Clarksville, TN – For the artist Wes Sherman, an old painting by Vincent van Gogh or George Inness isn’t simply a static work of art. Each piece is alive in the present, with modern day viewers interpreting its images to fit into the world he or she knows.
“I believe that we have always borrowed from the past to redefine or rediscover our existence,” he said.
Update on USA Today/Rand McNally’s Best of the Road Most Patriotic City Contest

Clarksville Tennessee ended up with the most votes, 650 to be exact. Now we need to be prepared to dazzle the Road Team that will visit our city with out any advance notice. We need to show our patriotism.
Five teams, selected by Rand McNally and USA TODAY, will depart New York City on June 23rd for a three-week, cross-country rally — to the top 20 towns nominated in the five categories, as well as points of interest along the way — before winding up in Los Angeles on July 15th. [Read more]
