Opportunities for Volunteers and Service Agencies to Participate
Clarksville, TN – September 11th, 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that forever changed the United States and its people. It’s designated as the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
To bring Americans together in the same spirit of compassion, unity and service as so many had after 9/11, Hands On Clarksville is coordinating Serve to Remember, an event that offers a variety of volunteer activities between September 1st and 11th. [Read more]
Local Church sponsors Praise Fest

Clarksville, TN – Reconciliation Evangelistic Outreach Center truly has a heart for the community and in their efforts to reach out to others; the church is excited to announce that their Singles Ministry will host its 3rd community wide praise fest in the New Providence area.
The fest, which will take place Saturday, August 27th, 2011 from 4:30pm-8:30pm, will feature live Christian music from local artists, food, spiritual expressions of pantomime and dance, informational booths and fellowship. Admission to this event is free. The fest has been purposefully renamed New Providence Gospel Praise Fest because its goal is to bring the community together. [Read more]
Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence is closing for the season

Clarksville, TN – The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, closed Tuesday, May 10th for the season. The New Providence outdoor swimming pool will open May 28th along with the other City pools. The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence will re-open at the end of the summer season.
Be on the look-out for the 2011-12 Indoor Aquatics Program guide at that time.

Free Pool Membership to be Given Away at the Indoor Aquatic Center Grand Opening

Clarksville, TN – The New Providence Pool, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, has a new look and new name. After weeks of work and just hours of inflation, the pool is now sheltered with a bubble like dome which will allow for year-round use of the Indoor Aquatic Center.
The “Dive in the Dome” grand opening is still scheduled for tomorrow, January 29th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm but due to snow and frigid temperatures, the inflation of the dome was delayed from its schedule this week and visitors looking to take a swim will experience much cooler water temperatures than expected. Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville inflated the dome on the new Indoor Aquatic Center yesterday, one of the last major steps before the opening on Saturday.
The new Indoor Aquatic Center will officially open to the public this Saturday, January 29th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with a dive in the dome celebration. The opening will feature give-a-ways, “dome”onstrations, contests, and a free gift to the first 50 people to purchase a pool pass! The center will also offer FREE swimming to the public all day long from 10:00am to 6:00pm on opening day.

Clarksville, TN – On January 27th, 2011, the Clarksville Tennessee Parks and Recreation department was working hard to complete work and inflate the bubble like dome that will shelter the New Providence Pool year around. The inflation of the dome was completed late in the afternoon.
