Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence opens for the season

Clarksville, TN – Don’t miss the first day of Indoor Swimming Season this Saturday, October 1st! The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, opens its doors for the season at 10:00am.
Patrons can check out the Indoor Aquatic Center, also referred to as “The Dome”, for free on opening day! The Dome will also debut the “Aqua Run” wibit, a floating inflatable obstacle course, on opening day. [Read more]

City Pools will be operating on special schedule this Friday

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces that all five City pools will open at 1:00pm on Friday, August 5th, which is a half-day for Clarksville-Montgomery County School students.
Bel-Aire, Swan Lake and Smith pools will end their Summer season at the close of business on Sunday, August 7th. Meanwhile, New Providence and Beachaven pools will remain open Friday through Sunday, each weekend until Labor Day. [Read more]

New Providence Pool to reopen on Sunday

Clarksville, TN – The New Providence Pool, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, has been temporarily closed due to a main water pipe rupture. Repairs have gone better than expected and the pool be will open back up tomorrow, Sunday, July 24th

New Providence Pool temporarily closed due to burst pipe

Clarksville, TN – New Providence Pool, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will be temporarily closed this weekend after a main water pipe ruptured. The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department hopes to have the problem remedied by Monday evening. The pool should be back open to normal operating hours Tuesday, July 26th.

Mayor Kim McMillan to Announce Fitness Council Members

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will announce members of the Mayor’s Fitness Council at a July fitness event at 5:00pm Wednesday at Smith Pool.
Following the City Council’s approval on July 7th to establish the Fitness Council, McMillan will appoint the members to the new board, which will take a pro-active, multi-faceted approach to helping residents achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle via education, becoming more active and proper nutrition.
