Clarksville, TN– Tennessee State University Cooperative Extension Specialist Dr George Smith will host a workshop titled Natural Playgrounds: Fun, Food and Learning from 9:30am – 11:30am on January 24th 2012.
Natural Playgrounds are outdoor spaces for learning and discovery, having fun and growing things! Natural playgrounds are a proven safe, healthy alternative to traditional playground facilities. Clarksville, TN – Have you ever seen a Shadow Darner, Black Saddlebags, or Halloween Pennant at Dunbar Cave State Natural Area? You probably have, even if you didn’t know what it was. These are some of the Dragonflies that can be found at Dunbar Cave.
Dragonfly watching, like birdwatching, has become very popular with those interested in the natural world. Dragonflies can be seen just about anywhere, and are active even on the hottest days.
