APSU Department of Theatre, Dance and Nashville Children’s Theatre partner for Apprentice Program

Nashville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Theatre and Dance and Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT), the nation’s oldest professional theatre for young audiences and the largest theatre in Middle Tennessee recently partnered on an apprentice program to help APSU students further their collegiate careers by engaging directly inside the industry.

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, April 11th, 2019 the Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present “The Pajama Game,” directed by Dr. Christopher Bailey and sponsored by the APSU the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Theatre and Dance will present “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” Thursday, November 15th, through Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at the Trahern Theatre on campus.
The show starts 7:30pm Thursday-Saturday, with matinee performances 2:00pm Saturday and Sunday. The production is sponsored by the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” runs Thursday, November 15th, through Sunday, November 18th, at the APSU Trahern Theatre.

Clarksville, TN – The APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts presents an alumni reading and screening featuring Raven Jackson, Chip Boles and Anthony Sims Jr. at 4:00pm, Tuesday, February 16th in the Trahern Gallery on the campus of Austin Peay State University.
After finishing his English degree at APSU in 1999, Anthony Sims went on to earn an MFA from Ohio University. His feature screenplay, “Behemoth,” was optioned by Lucy Darwin (“Match Point,” “Lost in La Mancha”) in 2006.
