Heather Anderson, Ashley Laverty and Adriane Wiley-Hatfield are joined by Jill Eichhorn, professor of women’s studies at Austin Peay State University; Paige King, proprietor of home boutique Hodgepodge; and Melissa Schaffner, marketing director of Fort Campbell’s MWR program; in readings of these monologues. Bring your pet to Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center (DW Rec.) on October 2nd and see if your pet’s tricks, size, personality, and uniqueness can win a prize.

Oktoberfest and Family Event at Cole Park Commons

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Oktoberfest is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Germany and has been held annually since 1810. It’s the world’s largest fair with more than 6 million people attending and has inspired hundreds of large and small Oktoberfest celebrations throughout the country.

This year, Fort Campbell will be joining the celebrations with our own Oktoberfest. On October 8th, from 12:00noon until 6:00pm, come out to Cole Park Commons and join in the fun. [Read more]

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) and the Fort Campbell High School (FCHS) will host the annual Army Bowl football game between the Fort Campbell Falcons and the Fort Knox Eagles on Friday, September 9th, 2011. The game will be held at Fryar Stadium, located on Wickham Avenue.

Admission for the football game is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. Anyone that will occupy a seat will be charged the admission fee. All admission fees are collected by and remain the income of the Fort Campbell High School. Gates open for the game at 5:30pm with kick off at 7:00pm. Arrive early for the best seats! [Read more]

Blake has visited the #1 spot on the country singles chart no fewer than eight times with hits “Austin”, “The Baby”, “Some Beach”, “Home”, “She Won’t Be Gone”, “Hillbilly Bone” (a duet with Trace Adkins), “All About Tonight”, and “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking”. Fort Campbell salutes America’s Soldiers on Independence Day

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – The 4th of July festivities concluded with the Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Welcome Home Concert and Fireworks Show. The event expresses the communities gratitude for the sacrifices that the soldiers and their families at Fort Campbell makes for our country.

The day opened with an invocation, followed by a short speech by 101st Airborne Division Commander Maj. Gen. John F. Campbell in which he dedicated the day to those both here at home, and in off in far flung war zones who are serving our country.

Fort Campbell Independence Day Celebration Tonight

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell will host its annual Independence Day Celebration at the Fort Campbell’s Division Parade Field tonight, July 4th, at 7:00pm. The show will include performances by the Screaming Eagles Parachute Demonstration Team, a 50-gun Salute to the Union, posting of the Colors and fireworks display in addition to free concert by Laura Bell Bundy and Jacob Lyda.

Dancing with the Stars Tickets go on Sale

Clarksville, TN – Tickets go on sale this week for the third annual Dancing with the Stars.

Altrusa International of Clarksville, producters of the show, have chosen Melissa Schaffner to step in for Mayor Kim McMillan, who had to drop out due to a knee injury.

Schaffner is the Marketing Director for Fort Campbell MWR. Schaffner joins Susan Ford, Britany Campbell, Conrad Edington, Ronnie Hunter and Jim Knoll, who have been in rehearsals for several weeks now.

Recently the library has updated their policies. The following information reflects these policies and information on the programs and services offered at the R.F. Sink Library:

Borrowing Policy

All material is due in 28 days except DVDs and VHS. DVDs and VHS are due in 14 days.

Items may be renewed twice that are not reserved for other patrons by phone or in person for an additional 28 days. Patrons may renew reserved items once, for an additional 14 days. [Read more]

USAA January Family Event

Morale, Welfare and RecreationUSAA January Family EventFort Campbell, KY – Sugar and spice and everything nice, that is what the USAA January Family event is made of. Come out to Sportsman’s Lodge on January 8th from 12 noon until 4:00pm for an afternoon full of fun for the whole Family. Enjoy indoor fun, free crafts and face frosting (painting) for the children.

Topping off this day full of sweet fun will be a performance from Rendezvous Groove, the 101st Air Assault Division Band. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
