Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Govs Outdoors is holding an outdoor adventure camp for teens this summer.

Govs Outdoors Teen Camp is open to ages 12-15 and focuses on getting teens outdoors and into activities such as hiking, biking, rock climbing and caving, all offered in the Clarksville area.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) Govs Outdoors, a program through University Recreation, offers about 10 trips every semester to members of the Foy Fitness & Recreation Center, including Austin Peay students, faculty and staff and members of the surrounding community.

Olivia Salamy, Austin Peay Govs Outdoors trip leader, led a trip in December to Indian Grave Point Caves near Lebanon, Tennessee.

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Leaders of the Clarksville Cycling Club met with Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan recently to discuss ways to promote bicycle-related activities in the Clarksville area.

Alex King, board member and past president, and Lawrence Mize also signaled support for the City’s efforts to create an advocacy group to promote a more bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly community.
