Spooktacular Fun with R.F. Sink Library Halloween Parties

Fort Campbell, KY – Bring your little ghost, goblin or witch to R.F. Sink Memorial Library on Thursday, October 28th. The library will host two children’s Halloween parties in conjunction with their weekly craft and story time. The first party will begin at 10:30am and the second party will kick off at 1:30pm.
Children will enjoy showing off their costumes and working on the special Halloween craft. Light refreshments will be provided. All children are welcome to attend. Participants do not have to be ID card holders to join in the festivities, however, individuals who are not ID card holders will not be permitted to check out library materials.

Shimmy and Twist into Fitness with Belly Dancing Class

Fort Campbell, KY – Dancing has many qualities that can improve both mental and physical health. Join the instructors at ESTEP Wellness Center for Belly Dancing class. Participants in the belly dancing class will learn the art of beginning dance vocabulary, Middle Eastern dance rhythms, isolations of the chest, hips, and torso, basic dance combinations and beginner level choreography. They will put everything they have learned together for a performance at the end of the six week class.
The belly dancing class will meet at 7:30am every Wednesday from October 20th through December 8th. $45.00 covers the cost of the program.

Welcome Fall with a Trail Ride and Lunch

Fort Campbell, KY – Fall is upon us! On Saturday, October 23rd, come and enjoy the crisp cool air and the beautiful changes that the Fall season has to offer. The trail ride will depart promptly from the Fort Campbell Riding Stables at 11:00am. All riders must be at the stables office and registered by 10:30am. The ride includes a provided lunch. The cost of the Fall Trail Ride with lunch is $40.00 per person.
The ride/lunch will be approximately 2 to 3 hours long and is limited to the first 15 riders. All riders must be at least 10 years of age, wear long pants, closed toe shoes, a shirt with sleeves (no tank tops, halter tops, or spaghetti straps), and may not weigh over 210 pounds. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the ride time. Reservations are required, and all reservations must be made no later than October 19th.
The Fort Campbell Riding Stables is located outside of the Fort Campbell gates and does not require a military ID for patrons to ride.

Fort Campbell Dog Kennels

Fort Campbell, KY – Are you going out of town and in need of a place to board your dog? The Fort Campbell Riding Stables also has dog boarding for those who need care for their pet. The indoor, climate controlled kennels can board dogs of nearly any size, and short and long term boarding is available. Dog cots are also available to rent to provide your dog with extra comfort and are highly recommended with long term boarding. Located outside of Gate 10, the dog kennels are available to military, their Family members, and Civilians.
The Fort Campbell Riding Stables and Dog Kennels offices are open Wednesday through Sunday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Please call for rates and vaccination requirements.

Fort Campbell 2010 Operation Rising Star Winner Announced

Fort Campbell, KY– On Friday, September 24th, 2010, Fort Campbell MWR crowned their newest addition to the Operation Rising Star winner’s club. A well deserved congratulations goes out to Sonja Ambrosino who took home the title of the Fort Campbell Operation Rising Star winner and a $500.00 prize.
When asked what winning Operation Rising Star meant to Sonja, she said, “Words cannot explain how I feel and I am looking forward to the possible opportunities this experience creates.” Sonja also mentioned that the support from her biggest fan and husband, CPT Jason Ambrosino, “helps keep my spirits high and the love for singing alive.” [Read more]

Giddy Up at the Fort Campbell Riding Stables Speed Show

Fort Campbell, KY – Mirror, mirror on the wall, who has the fastest horse of them all? See whose horse is the fastest, and can cut and turn on a dime at the Fort Campbell Riding Stables (FCRS) Speed Show on August 28th. The show is open to all Fort Campbell Riding Stables boarders and to individuals with horses who are not boarded at the Fort Campbell Riding Stables. Registration begins at 5:30pm and the show starts at 6:30pm.
Privately owned FCRS boarders show fee for the evening is $15.00. For all others, there is a $5.00 per class entry fee and a $3.00 fee for time only poles. Participants of the timed poles can practice a maximum of two times per horse entered in the event.

Learn how you can participate in the Volunteer Recruitment Fair and meet these volunteers face-to-face. The Volunteer Recruitment Fair is being held at the Family Resource Center (FRC) on September 21st.
Agencies and organizations who desire to participate should register with Becki Mastrian no later than September 7th. This is a fabulous opportunity to not only obtain FREE help for your organization or agency, but also to empower Soldiers and Military Family members with knowledge and skills that they can use to help the Military community.

She’s a little bit country and they’re loads of rock n’ roll, and together they put on a great show. Lisa’s music has been featured in several sports-related programs and venues ranging from NASCAR television shows to NFL stadiums.
