Habitat for Humanity and Habitat ReStore become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County and the Habitat ReStore are the latest organizations to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, City of Clarksville’s Chief of Staff Bill Harpel, Habitat for Humanity Board Members and CMC Green Certification Steering Committee Board Members were on hand with Habitat and ReStore employees for their green ribbon cutting held on July 10th.
Sanderson Pipe Achieves Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification

Montgomery County, TN – Sanderson Pipe Corporation, headquartered in Florida, is the latest industry to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified Green Certification. Sanderson’s Clarksville location is a manufacturer of mid to mega sized PVC pipes primarily used in construction.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Memorial Day Ceremony to be held May 27th, 2013

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization is hosting its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00am, May 27th, at Veterans Memorial Park, Clarksville, TN.
City and county officials, as well as MCVSO staff will give remarks, with the keynote address given by LTC (Retired) Norman “Greg” Lane, US Army Reserve, who currently serves as the Battalion Executive Officer of Austin Peay State University’s ROTC.

The colors were posted by the Elester Garner Chapter of the 555th Triple Nickel as members of the Gold Star Wives look on during last year’s Memorial Day Ceremony.
Red Knight Distribution receives Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification

Montgomery County, TN – Red Knight Distribution, the operations center for Furniture Connection and Furniture 123 in Clarksville, is the latest company to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
Prior to their recent green ribbon cutting, Red Knight Team Member Ashleigh Sympson explained that owner David Berggren saw the benefits in constructing an energy efficient building and said the building was made to be efficient.
Montgomery County Spelling Bee February 11th

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Spelling Bee is February 11th at 6:00pm at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center. Bee sponsors are the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville and Cumberland Bank and Trust.
Bee participants represent local public and private schools in grades 6-8. The Customs House Museum is located in Downtown Clarksville at 200 South Second Street.
Tennessee Driver’s License Kiosk now available at Montgomery County Election Commission Office

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Arts and Heritage Development Council (AHDC) is putting out a call to all artists who are interested in having their work featured in its fifth annual Cultural Calendar.
