Montgomery County Students on Committees Program Accepting Applications

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is now accepting applications for the Students on Committees Program.
In the Students on Committees Program, area high school students may apply to serve as ex-officio members of various County Government committees for the 2016-17 school year.

Montgomery County, TN – Winn Materials celebrated their Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification with a green ribbon cutting this week.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, and Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard were there to congratulate Winn Materials on earning their certification.
TCAT becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT), a post secondary technical training school, is the latest organization to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.

Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce to hold Mayors’ Power Breakfast January 14th, 2016

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Mayors’ Power Breakfast at the Riverview Inn on January 14th at 7:30am.

Montgomery County ushers in Christmas with Caroling and Lighting of the County Tree

Montgomery County, TN – The Christmas season kicked off Saturday, December 5th on the Montgomery County Court House steps as crowds gathered to listen to Christmas caroling by local students. There was also hot chocolate available inside the Montgomery County Courts Complex.
The caroling started at 4:00pm and continued right up to the start of the Clarksville Montgomery County Annual Lighted Christmas Parade.
Clarksville Street Department becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville Street Department is the latest city department to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett and Chamber Vice President Melinda Shepard were present at the green ribbon cutting to congratulate the employees.

Montgomery County, TN – The latest organization to host a Green Ribbon Cutting for becoming Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified is the Clarksville YMCA.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Clarksville Chief of Administration Charlie Gentry and Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce Melinda Shepard were there to congratulate the Clarksville YMCA for their work.
Montgomery County holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for RichEllen Park

Montgomery County, TN – On Monday, October 19th, 2015 at 4:00pm, Montgomery County Government held Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new RichEllen Park. The park, located just off Highway 149, 2 miles past Hilltop Super Market, will serve the Cumberland Heights and Palmyra communities in southern Montgomery County.
“I didn’t think this day would ever get here,” stated Montgomery County Parks Director Jerry Allbert. “It’s been a long time coming since the first time we stood here and dug a little dirt in the ground and said we are going to build this park. We’ve come a long way.”
Montgomery County’s Students on Committees Program Kicks Off

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is pleased to be kicking off the first year of our Students on Committees Program. Twelve students from area high schools have been selected to serve as ex-officio members of various County Government committees for the 2015-16 school year.
Students began attending committee meetings in September and will be included in all county activities for the remainder of the school year. [Read more]
