Residents within 250 miles can get in-state tuition rates at APSU

Clarksville, TN – If you live or attend high school in a county outside of Tennessee that is within a 250-mile radius of Austin Peay State University, then you qualify for a discounted tuition rate for both undergraduate and graduate programs at Austin Peay.
High school students who have a 22 ACT (or 1020 SAT) or higher are eligible for an additional Provost Scholarship, bringing tuition rates within a few dollars of the University’s in-state rate.

Customs House Museum Announces Award Winners in the Southern Watercolor Society Juried Exhibition

Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum hosted the awards reception for the Southern Watercolor Society’s 38th Annual Juried Exhibition on May 16th. The show features eighty-seven paintings. This year’s juror Kathleen Conover awarded 32 artists cash or merchandise prices.
The Best in Show was awarded to Z.L. Feng for In the Wood. Feng is an artist-signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, and the Pastel Society of America (as master pastelist).

APSU Students do service work during Fall Break

Clarksville, TN – Last month, 20 Austin Peay State University students spent their fall breaks volunteering at three nonprofit organizations in Tennessee and Missouri, collectively completing 250 hours of community service.
From October 10th-14th, students traveled in small groups to three locations, including the Endangered Wolf Sanctuary in Eureka, Missouri; the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center in Chattanooga; and The Kitchen in Springfield, Missouri.

Clarksville, TN – The sixth season fall premiere of TLC’s primetime hit show Toddlers & Tiaras will have a hometown feel for the residents of Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee.
The newest season of Toddlers & Tiaras, the series that launched the TV career of the infamous Honey Boo Boo, will include 13 one-hour long episodes that give a behind-the-scenes look at the competitive lives of these tiny beauty queens and their pageant-loving parents, who are all vying for the coveted sparkly crown.

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, July 17th, 2013 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Hospital. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
