Austin Peay helps Army veteran, military spouse Kali Cooper juggle college, family with great success

Clarksville, TN – Nothing worth having comes easy – a lesson that former soldier Kali Cooper understands as well as anyone. But the services Austin Peay State University provides military and veteran students did make the transition to college life a little less difficult.
A Minnesota native who left her home and enlisted in the army at the age of 17, Cooper’s life has more or less revolved around the military ever since.
Country Inns & Suites to host book drive benefiting Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation’s Teacher Warehouse

Clarksville, TN – Country Inns & Suites By Carlson recently announced that in celebration of National Literacy Day (September 8th) and as part of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group 12th annual Responsible Business Action Month, the brand has launched a book drive with Read Indeed.
The book drive has been going on at participating hotels to benefit the international charity founded six years ago by Maria Keller, a then eight-year-old girl from Minnesota.

Clarksville, TN – Local artist Cynthia Sukowatey will be displaying her silkscreen prints in the show “I am Halftone” at APSU’s Trahern Gallery 108 from March 2nd-5th, 2015 between 10:00am-5:00pm.
The opening reception is free to the public and takes place on Monday, March 2nd from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – On Monday, February 2nd, 2015, owners Matthew Buehrle and Ben Diquattro will be opening Clarksville’s first Marco’s Pizza at 1761 Tiny Town Road. Marco’s is the only national pizza chain founded by a native Italian and takes pride in making fresh ah!thentic italian handmade pizza.
“I saw a need in the Clarksville market for better pizza,” stated Buehrle. “We chose the Exit 1 area because of the growth in this part of town. Also, other pizza places have to drive from Exit 4 and we are here to service them direct.”

Premier Medical Group Welcomes Dr. Crystal Twynham to Doctors’ Practice

Clarksville, TN – Premier Medical Group is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Crystal Twynham to their newly opened General Surgery Department.
Dr. Twynham, a native of Minnesota, earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota. She completed her general surgery residency at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and spent a year in a Fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Twynham was in private practice in Minnesota and Alabama before moving to Clarksville.
