Clarksville, TN – A veteran triathlete who is now a licensed massage therapist will lead a new massage therapy practice dedicated to sports massage treatment, therapeutic, Swedish and deep tissue massage.
Restore Performance Massage, also called RPM Massage, is located inside the Clarksville Chiropractic Center building on Madison Street next to Chick-Fil-A. The new business opened Monday, May 7th.
Russ Shemberger, whose athletic background is in the sport of swimming and triathlon, is the practice’s newly licensed massage therapist.

Prom Dresses overtake Miller-Motte Technical College Campus

Clarksville, TN – Prom-O-Rama has come to Clarksville and a rainbow of color is flowing through Miller-Motte Technical College’s (MMTC) campus these days. Dozens and dozens of prom dresses are being collected at MMTC. In an effort to keep costs down for Montgomery County high school girls attending their proms, MMTC is collecting prom dresses from ladies in the community that wish to sell dresses they will no longer wear but would like to sell.

Miller-Motte Technical College to hold Ribbon Cutting for Surgical Technology Suite’s New Name and New Equipment

Clarksville, TN – Miller-Motte’s Surgical Technology program’s students will learn their skills on the best equipment. The surgical technology suite now has two complete beds, mannequins and sets of instruments along with a state of the art laparoscopy tower that provides high quality digital images for arthroscopy and endoscopy procedures.

Emmanuel Center Hosts Reality Check Program

Alternative School Students get a dose of reality

Clarksville, TN – On December 19th, 2011 marked the last day of school for students of the Greenwood Alternative School and the first dose of reality for some. The LEAP Organization facilitated the acclaimed Reality Check program that was sponsored by the Clarksville Montgomery County School System.
Volunteers were asked to sit behind a table that represented different aspects of life such as banks, car dealerships, day cares, college, clothing store, grocery store, and real estate offices.

American Medical Technologist Club at Miller-Motte Technical College “Warm heads and hands”

Clarksville, TN – The AMT (American Medical Technologist) Club at Miller-Motte Technical College in Clarksville, TN is asking the Clarksville community to help them keep people warm this winter. Organizations feed the homeless and others provide warm coats, but frostbite affects the hands and ears. Providing hats and gloves will help to avoid that this winter.
The AMT club has had a presence on campus at Miller-Motte for two years and has approximately 40 members and still growing. Students can join the club after completion of their first quarter at Miller-Motte. [Read more]
Miller-Motte Graduates are “Suited” to Succeed

Clarksville, TN – Miller-Motte Technical College is dressing students for success. “Suit-Up for Success,” a new benefit provided to all Miller-Motte students, provides each student with a free suit to wear upon graduation when seeking employment.
Miller-Motte provides the suit to every student at no additional expense. Every quarter a fitting session is held so that students who are graduating can try on the suits, get measured, and choose a color, either blue or black. The suits are then special ordered for each student. Men receive a jacket, pants, shirt and tie, while women have the choice to receive a skirt or pants, jacket, shirt and a string of pearls.

Inspect a Career Day at Miller-Motte Technical College

Clarksville, TN – High School students getting ready for their future and adults wanting to change their careers will get the opportunity to “inspect” a career at Miller-Motte on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
Miller-Motte will open its doors at 10:00am with faculty and staff answering questions and demonstrating skills used in careers available after finishing one of the programs offered at Miller-Motte Technical College. [Read more]
