Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Downtown Market will host a Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 27th, 2020. All active duty, veterans, and retired military members with a valid military ID will have the opportunity to:
Receive a free market T-shirt by visiting the Clarksville Parks and Recreation tent, receive discounts from participating vendors and sign up to win a handmade American flag wood sign from 1911 Custom Flags.
Service members will receive discounts from participating vendors at the Clarksville Downtown Market this Saturday.
THEC Awards Veterans Reconnect Grant to APSU

Clarksville, TN – Earlier this fall, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) awarded Austin Peay State University (APSU) with a Veterans Reconnect Grant to support a new Military Pathway Pilot Project designed to help military and veteran students transition quickly and easily into college or new career fields.
Retired Lt. Gen. Ronald Bailey and retired Brig. Gen. Scott E. Brower joined APSU’s senior leadership team.

Clarksville, TN – This Saturday, November 5th, 2016, the Austin Peay State University athletics department will honor local veterans and military-affiliated individuals with a special Military Appreciation Day during APSU’s 4:00pm football game at Fortera Stadium.
All veterans, active-duty personnel and their families will receive free admission to the game with a current military I.D., and several military vehicles will be on display in tailgate alley and inside the stadium.

APSU Public Relations and Marketing wins six awards at state conference

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University won six awards during the Tennessee College Public Relations Association (TCPRA) spring conference and awards contest, held May 27th-29th in Gatlinburg, TN.
TCPRA, an alliance of communicators across the state representing public and private colleges and universities, technical schools, technology centers and community colleges, awarded gold, silver and bronze distinctions in various writing, design, publication and photography categories. Entries were received for the contest period between April 1st, 2014 and April 30th, 2015.

Clarksville, TN – Military Appreciation Day at Governor’s Square Mall is Saturday, April 11th. Active duty and retired service members and family members (with dependent ID) receive special one day discounts at the mall from 10:00am-9:00pm.

Kleeman Community Center hosts Military Appreciation Day

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Military Appreciation Day on July 11th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Summer Youth Program participants will be giving out crafts they have made at the Kleeman Center site and spending time with the Warrior Transition Unit from Fort Campbell. Refreshments will be served. This event is open to the public.
